PROJECT
Crossroads
Chamber music across Anatolia, Iran and neighbouring musical cultures.
THE PROJECT
A journey already begun
Crossroads began in performance with Fazıl Say’s wind quintet. It continues through our fascination with chamber music written in a Western tradition and coloured by the musical cultures of Anatolia, Iran and their neighbours. Each discovery brings another voice into the conversation and suggests where the programme might travel next.
THE MUSIC
Where Musical Traditions Meet
Fazıl Say’s wind quintet gave Crossroads its first performance. Its distinctive sound opened a wider exploration of chamber music shaped by the musical cultures of Anatolia, Iran and neighbouring regions.

We performed Fazıl Say’s wind quintet as the first step in Crossroads. Its distinctive sound opened a wider exploration of chamber music shaped by Anatolia, Iran and neighbouring musical cultures.

SELECTED REPERTOIRE
Music we are following
Our performance of Fazıl Say’s wind quintet opened a continuing exploration of chamber music shaped by Anatolia, Iran and neighbouring musical cultures. These are some of the works now drawing us further into that conversation—repertoire under consideration, rather than a fixed concert programme.
